The Young Leadership Division (YLD) of the Jewish Federation of Greater Indianapolis works to provide a portal for Jewish young adults to connect to Indianapolis’s Jewish community through leadership development, targeted social and networking programs, and by identifying and educating young adults to become more active members of the Jewish community as future leaders and philanthropists. YLD hosts social, networking, volunteer and fundraising events each year to engage the broader young Jewish community.

YLD is your connection to your people, your community and the world. It’s your connection to the timeless values of Judaism and to a like-minded community. It demonstrates a sense of humanitarianism that helps the elderly woman next door with the same speed and loving kindness as it helps the young child halfway around the world. You are at the right place at the right time to make the connection.

YLD members are Jewish young adults (ages 21-45), they are your next-door neighbors, your friends, your colleagues. Whether you’ve lived in the Indianapolis area your entire life or moved here recently, the group welcomes all people interested in building a strong Jewish community.

As a program of the Jewish Federation of Greater Indianapolis, YLD will empower young Jewish adults in the Indianapolis area to become active participants in strengthening the community locally, in Israel and globally.

YLD offers a variety of educational programs, social activities and volunteer opportunities, including lectures, general community outreach and dinners. In the past YLD has had wine tastings, a night at Symphony on the Praire, Newcomer Shabbat dinner, Adopt-a-Family, and much more. YLD encourages event suggestions from all members of the Jewish community. Voice your opinion here!
